Do you have strong cultural knowledge of an English-speaking country (e.g., UK, USA, Canada, etc.)?
Are you currently based in Barcelona?
Join our growing team at Language Avenue, an independent school next to Sagrada Familia. We focus on real-world communication: grammar is a tool, not the goal. You’ll teach small groups within a supportive, collaborative team.
Must:
English proficiency at the C2 standard — any of the following satisfy this criterion:
CEFR C2 English proficiency (certified or demonstrably equivalent), with strong cultural awareness of an English-speaking context.
Advanced English at CEFR C2, plus substantial exposure to English-speaking environments (study, work, or long-term residence).
Requirements
Availability starting January.
Spanish B2–C1 for everyday communication.
Proven experience across CEFR levels.
Experience preparing for Cambridge or equivalent exams.
Comfortable teaching Kids, Teens, and Adults.
Confident with digital tools and classroom tech.
Creative, dynamic, and student-centred.
Already in Barcelona with a valid EU/Spanish work permit (part-time eligibility required).
What we offer
Employment contract and competitive, stable compensation with a long-term outlook. Starting as fijo - discontinuo from September to June term.
Although we offer a contract, first-year average of approx. €17 per teaching hour (annual compensation divided by delivered teaching hours).
Core schedule Mon–Thurs, 17:30–20:00/21:30.
