Subject to teach:
The vacant teaching position corresponds to the  Bachelor’s Degree in International Business Management (GIBM):
Introduction to Economics – 6 ECTS (1

GIBM)
This course introduces the fundamentals of economic analysis from both microeconomic and macroeconomic perspectives. It provides basic tools to understand how markets operate, how economic agents behave, and the role of institutions in the economy, as well as to interpret key economic indicators in business and social contexts.

Mondays form 10:30 to 13:30
Semester:
First semester of the 2026/2027 academic year (Mid September to End January). On-campus teaching in Barcelona.
Teaching language:
English.

Minimum requirements:

University degree in Economics, Business Administration, International Business, Applied Economics or related fields.
Professional or teaching experience in economics, business economics, international markets or related areas.
Knowledge of innovative teaching methodologies and applied learning.
C2 level of English: mandatory.
C2 level of Spanish: mandatory.
Availability for on-campus teaching at EUM.

Will be valued:
PhD or Doctorate.
AQU or ANECA accreditation.
Previous university teaching experience.
Experience teaching economics in English.
Professional, research or consultancy experience in international economics, market analysis, economic policy, sustainability or global business environments.
C1 level of Catalan.
Participation in research, transfer or innovation projects related to economics, international business or business education.

CV assessment scale – 100 points
Suitable academic degree: 10 points
PhD or Doctorate: 10 points
AQU or ANECA accreditation: 10 points
University teaching experience: 20 points
Relevant professional experience in economics / international business: 15 points
Research, publications or transfer related to the subject area: 15 points
Technological and digital teaching competencies, including Moodle or similar platforms: 10 points
Teaching innovation, applied learning or knowledge transfer: 5 points
Catalan C1: 5 points

Applications and selection process
Candidates must submit their CV, proof of language proficiency, and a brief teaching proposal for the subject, no later than   28 June 2026 .

The selection procedure will consist of the following phases:

Phase 1 – Receipt of applications
Applications will be received until  28 June 2026 .

Phase 2 – Evaluation of applications
All applications received within the established deadline will be evaluated according to the CV assessment scale included in this vacancy.

Phase 3 – Interview
The three highest-ranking candidates who achieve a score above  50 points  in the evaluation phase will be shortlisted for an interview.
