Global Finance Controller

The Opportunity

We are looking for a driven, highly analytical, future‑focused Global Financial Controller to lead our global controlling function from our Barcelona office.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will transform financial reporting into a key commercial architecture, managing a team of approximately 10 people.

As we scale up, you will own profitability analysis, pricing models, and AI‑driven automation.

• Months 0–3:
  Own the monthly/annual consolidated closing process, evaluate the current finance transformation plan, and implement AI integration.
• Months 3–6:
  Design and implement an advanced country‑by‑country profitability framework and ROI metrics.
• Months 6–12:
  Partner with Product and Commercial teams to launch dynamic customer profitability and pricing analysis and automate at least 50% of manual reporting workflows.

• Commercial Controlling & Business Intelligence:
  • Customer Unit Economics:
    Analyze customer‑level profitability and pricing architectures, advising leadership on contract margins and commercial structures.
  • Geographical ROI Analytics:
    Define, monitor, and break down the financial split between operating countries, identifying specific country profitability metrics and assessing ROI on growth investments.
  • Strategic FP&A:
    Own global budget, planning, and forecasting cycles, providing data‑backed insights for international expansion.
• Financial Controlling, Audit & M&A Integration:
  • Global Closings:
    Oversee accurate and smooth consolidated and multi‑country monthly and annual closes under local GAAPs and IFRS.
  • Reporting Excellence:
    Prepare highly accurate financial statements and compile board packs for Private Equity partners.
  • M&A Integration:
    Align newly acquired entities into group infrastructure, standardising ERP, accounting policies, and internal controls.
  • Synergy Tracking:
    Establish and report on financial synergies and efficiencies post‑acquisition.
  • Audit &
    
    Risk Management:
    
    Lead global and local external audits and mitigate cross‑border fiscal and accounting risks.
• AI Integration & Process Automation:
  • Identify and implement AI tools and workflow automation for compliance and reporting.
  • Continuously improve accounting and financial systems, leveraging Net Suite to handle hyper‑growth transactional volume.

• 8–10+ years of total work experience; at least 3+ years as Financial Controller in a fast‑growing tech platform.
• Strong commercial acumen and proven collaboration with non‑financial teams.
• Experience implementing automation or AI in finance departments;
  Net Suite experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, goal‑oriented, and teamwork; advanced accounting and finance knowledge.
• Hands‑on, autonomous, managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment with clear transformation outcomes.
• Professional fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or Italian is highly valued.
