Our client is a fast-growing premium streetwear fashion brand with a strong identity, an ambitious growth trajectory and a business split between digital and physical retail.

They are seeking a Head of Buying to step in and lead their ambitious product strategy. In this pivotal role, you will take over day-to-day purchasing operations directly from the CEO, elevating product standards, optimizing profitability, and driving collection design from concept to delivery. You will lead a team of buyers while working closely with Management Control. This is a highly influential position with responsibility for a purchasing budget of approximately 8–10M per season and the opportunity to raise the bar across product, sourcing and buying processes.

Contract:

Permanent Main Responsibilities Own and define the full collection architecture across both Men's and Women's categories, balancing product depth, pricing strategies, and delivery schedules

Supervise, mentor, and grow a talented team of buyers across various product families. Introduce greater structure, accountability and autonomy within the Buying team

Lead the end-to-end buying process, from purchase decisions and sourcing through to delivery

Approve purchases and decide when to increase an investment, replenish a product or cancel an order

Build the purchase plan together with Management Control and monitor sales, markup, bestsellers, rotation, stock and cash flow

Take ownership of the complete buying calendar and ensure purchasing decisions happen at the right time Develop the supplier strategy, identify new sourcing opportunities and challenge the existing supplier base

Lead supplier negotiations, quotations and cost optimisation across international markets

Travel to supplier locations, particularly China and Turkey, to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities

Establish quality standards and take ownership of supplier claims, defective products, incorrect labelling and related issues

Ensure purchase commitments and supplier performance remain visible and properly managed

Maintain a strong connection with stores and customer behaviour to bring retail insights into buying decisions

Core Skills/Experience+7 years of professional experience in fashion buying

Experience working across several product categories within a high-volume, fast-paced fashion environment

Exceptional product instinct, a deep passion for modern streetwear trends, and strong commercial acumen

Proven success connecting product decisions directly to sales growth, stock rotation, timing, and profitability

Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and empower a passionate team of buyers

Expertise in global supplier management, price negotiations, garment cost breakdowns, and international supply chain travel

Strong understanding of both Menswear and Womenswear is highly valued

Strong Excel skills

High ethical standards when managing suppliers and significant purchasing budgets

Retail market awareness and commitment to using real customer feedback to shape product strategies

Ability to work from Barcelona or consider future mobility to Madrid What's on offer
