This position reports to:

Local Division Manager__Your Role and Responsibilities At ABB, we believe that health, safety, the environment and sustainability are fundamental pillars for ensuring the long-term success of our business. We are seeking an HSE & Sustainability Manager for ABB Motion Spain to lead our strategy in these areas, foster a high-performance safety culture and promote continuous improvement across all our operations nationwide (covering Service, projects, workshops, sales and offices).In

this strategic and operational leadership role, you will play an active part in ABB Spain's Internal Prevention Service (SPP) and will be directly responsible for leading and developing Motion's HSE Specialist team. You will work closely with the management team, business leaders, project managers, field teams, contractors and customers to ensure strict legal compliance, mitigate critical risks and strengthen a prevention culture in which safety and sustainability guide every business decision.

Reporting to the Motion Spain management team, you will actively contribute to developing the business strategy and will also participate in ABB's global and regional HSE network.

You will be mainly accountable for:

SPP Leadership and People Management:
Lead, coordinate and directly develop Motion's HSE Specialist team while playing an active role in the SPP.Strategic Leadership and HSE Culture:
Design, implement and adapt the global HSE and Sustainability strategy for the Motion division, aligning it with ABB Group guidelines and acting as the primary strategic partner, adviser and technical authority within the Management Committee to promote a culture based on visible leadership.

Risk Management and Operational Safety:
Oversee the identification, assessment and mitigation of critical risks in workshops, engineering projects and field services; drive excellence in electrical safety in accordance with applicable regulations; and lead systematic incident investigations to ensure root-cause analysis and the deployment of lessons learned.

Environment, Sustainability and ESG:
Lead projects focused on decarbonisation, energy efficiency and reducing the environmental footprint across all business workplaces, supporting ABB Group's corporate ESG commitments through rigorous monitoring and reporting of key sustainability indicators.

Regulatory Compliance and Management Systems:
Ensure that all activities strictly comply with Spanish occupational health and safety and environmental legislation; maintain and effectively integrate systems certified to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; and act as the primary liaison with labour inspectorates, auditors and regulatory bodies.

Digital Transformation and

Innovation: Promote the active adoption of software tools, advanced data analytics and disruptive technology solutions for prevention, with the aim of simplifying field-team workflows, optimising document management and enabling strategic decisions based on reliable data.

Qualifications for the Role Official Master's degree in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL), mandatorily covering at least two of the three preventive specializations.
