The Role
We are looking for a reliable and experienced  Head of Stewarding  to lead our stewarding team at MR PORTER Barcelona. This role is essential in ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of all kitchen operations. You will oversee the stewarding staff responsible for maintaining spotless kitchens, equipment, utensils, and dishware, while ensuring all hygiene and safety standards are strictly followed.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the stewarding team (dishwashers and kitchen cleaners)

Ensure all kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment are clean and ready for service

Organize staff schedules and daily duties

Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and related materials

Enforce food safety and hygiene protocols at all times

Collaborate closely with the culinary and operations team

Train, support, and motivate the team to maintain a productive and positive work environment

Requirements

Proven experience as a Head of Stewarding or in a similar role in upscale restaurants or luxury hotels

Strong leadership and team management skills

High attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail

In-depth knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations

Proactive, hands‑on, and responsible work attitude

Based in  Barcelona  and legally eligible to work in Spain

Flexible availability (including weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Basic knowledge of English or Spanish (ideally both)
