The Operating Systems (OS) Team is responsible for building the software platform that powers Wallbox’s hardware devices, ensuring seamless interaction between embedded systems and the applications running on them.
As an OS Embedded Linux Engineer, you will develop and maintain a Yocto-based operating system, ensuring optimal software compatibility, performance efficiency, cybersecurity compliance, and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain Yocto-based Linux distributions for embedded systems.
- Design and enhance core charger functionalities such as boot sequence, chain of trust, update mechanisms, and networking capabilities.
- Validate and test new hardware architectures and prototypes in collaboration with Hardware and Validation teams.
- Maintain and improve the QA infrastructure used for system verification.
- Support Software and Validation teams in debugging and resolving functionality issues.
- Assist manufacturing teams with system-level troubleshooting during production.
- Integrate and configure device drivers for new hardware components.
- Proven experience in generating and integrating Yocto systems for embedded devices.
- Skilled in configuring Device Tree Blobs (DTB) and managing board bring-up processes.
- Experience configuring boot mechanisms such as U-Boot and Trusted Execution Environments (TEE).
- (Nice to have) Hands-on experience with hardware debugging, including soldering, small reworks, and oscilloscope use.
- (Nice to have) Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded programming.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar embedded systems engineering role.
