As a Mechanical Team Lead at INBRAIN, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Mechanical team. You will provide technical leadership to lead the development, and transfer of designs to production to successfully commercialize new products.
You will be at the forefront of bringing advanced healthcare solutions to market, making a tangible difference in people's lives worldwide.
Your profileMain responsibilities:
- Collaboratively formulates objectives, goals and outlining the steps necessary to achieve the objectives of the projects.
- Arranging and structuring the resources and tasks within the team ensure the successful implementation of plans.
- Provides direction, technical support, motivation, and guidance towards achieving projects goals.
- Monitor and reports the progress of work to ensure that it is in line with the established plans and goals.
- Communicates opinions and ideas in a constructive manner to staff, peers and others.
- Collaboratively recruits and train employees to ensure that the organization has the right talent to achieve its goals. This also involves creating an environment that promotes employee growth and development.
- Demonstrates achievable and measurable results and develop action plans for improvement.

- Design for reliability, manufacturing, and test, including concept engineering, functional analysis, stress analysis, and mechanical modelling.
- Deliver detailed documentation of the device design (BOM, drawings, …) compliant with design control requirements.
- Define test plans to verify safety and mechanical performance of the device, in compliance with applicable standards and in collaboration with other teams.
- Interface with other development team members to ensure mechanical design is compatible with all requirements.
- Design control and verification; establishes and oversees design control processes to ensure the development of safe, effective, and reliable medical devices. Oversees engineering change control together with the team & Quality, ensuring overall compliance of the development processes to the ISO
13485.
Mandatory Qualifications and
Soft skills:
- BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of work experience developing medical device with a proven experience executing a full development cycle. Experience in developing multidisciplinary medical device is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of leading technical oriented team
. - Demonstrated skills in the areas required to perform this job:
Mechanical design using CAD, Selection of medical-grade materials and components, safety and performance testing. - Ability to manage projects mandated to external sub-contractor and manufacturing.
- Strong hands-on skills, experience with machine shop tools.
- Fluency in English required (English is company language). Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Nice to have:
- Solid experience in neuroscience with a strong interest in gaining a further understanding of this field.
- Experience in applying quality control for medical devices (ISO
13485) or in a similar working environment in a tightly regulated industry (e.g. medical devices); - Solid understanding of Medical Risk Analysis.
