In a cross-sites and cross-functional environment, the interdisciplinary CHU & CB Integration & Testing Sub Chapter in RDS System & Solution Development is responsible for integration of hardware, software, consumables, and reagents, and the verification & internal validation of diagnostic instruments (hardware and software) to deliver innovative, high-quality and reliable medical devices meeting our customer’s needs.
As an Associate SW Test Engineer, you are responsible for executing assigned verification activities in specific areas including the definition, maintenance and execution of test cases in close alignment with the test managers. In this role, you are a member of a high performing cross-site development team (St. Cugat and Rotkreuz), and you are closely collaborating with the product definition team, software development and other project related functions through all phases of system development.
Your key responsibilities
Creation, maintenance and review of SW test cases in all lifecycle phases (from early feasibility to product care) considering the respective customer workflows
Execution and documentation of test cases including defect reporting
Maintenance of laboratory equipment
Ensuring adherence to relevant processes, guidelines and working instructions
Supporting the definition of new features and functions to ensure clarity and testability of requirements and user stories
Who you are
To be successful in this position you have:
Primary experience in SW testing and verification (black box testing)
Higher Technician in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory (Ciclo Formativo Grado Medio o Superior en Laboratorio Clínico y Biomédico) in a relevant technical or biomedical field, such as biomedical engineering, biotechnology, life sciences, or a related discipline.
Ability to actively contribute to team collaboration, inclusion, sharing ideas and good team spirit, as well as mutual trust and respect (project team and sub chapter level)
Expert Spanish (B2/C1 or better) and expert English (B2/C1 or better) language skills
Bonus skills are:
Basic understanding of customer workflows in the area of diagnostic instruments (e.g. in coagulation or serum work area)
Basic skills with testing tools e.g. Retina
Initial experience with software testing on instrument level
