Pharmacology Trainee

Puesto: PHARMACOLOGY TRAINEE
* Perform in vivo studies to answer scientific questions and to characterize MoA and efficacy of compounds including new drug candidates
* Perform a variety of routine laboratory experiments and procedures, using state of the art laboratory equipment, recording and checking results for completeness and accuracy
* Plan and initiate established and new experimental approaches with a high level of independence
* Analyse and interpret experimental results and prepare reports/presentations
* Assist team members in planning and execution of experiments
* Work in a matrixed, fast paced highly collaborative environment with shared responsibilities
* Effectively communicate within and across teams.
* Carry out all laboratory activities in compliance with applicable regulations and protocols.
* Conduct literature searches and reviews, compiling information for journals and suggest uses for new techniques to the team.
* Maintain records of results and methodologies in electronic laboratory notebook.
* Maintain equipment, lab area and supplies in a neat professional manner
* Attend courses, lectures and conferences to further own knowledge on research and laboratory techniques, consulting with other researchers to exchange information.
* Contribute to an enriching, positive and inclusive lab environment.
* Bs of science and experience in a research lab.
* EU license to work in procedures and projects on laboratory animal science or equivalent is a plus
* Proficiency in mouse handling and dosing
* Ability to independently conduct  tissue sample processing and analysis from rodents and/or minipigs using state of the art technologies
* Excellent aseptic cell culture technique for handling human and murine primary cells and transformed cell lines
* Ideally experience in RT-PCR, ELISA, Flow Cytometry and Western Blot techniques.
* Ideally experience in state of the art immunology techniques to support isolation and ex vivo analysis of cells from animal tissues or human skin samples is a plus.
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
* Proficiency in the use of software tools to support data analysis (e. g., Prism, Flow Jo, Word, Excel, and Power point)
* Ability to critically interpret and effectively present data
* Ability to take accountability and to prioritize work
* Adaptabity to shifting priorities and changing work assignments
* Ability to communicate in English
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, or technical principles.
