What Can You Expect

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join Zurich’s Commercial Insurance environment. This role requires a highly autonomous, structured, and business‑oriented professional who can operate effectively in a complex, evolving landscape.

The successful candidate will not wait for tasks to be assigned but will proactively engage with stakeholders, identify needs, and drive analysis activities end to end.

This position is ideal for a senior BA who combines strong analytical capabilities with a deep understanding of insurance business processes and who can translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements that support Zurich’s strategic objectives.

As a Senior Business Analyst Commercial Insurance you will have the opportunity to:
  • Act as a trusted partner to business stakeholders, building strong relationships across underwriting, operations, distribution, and other commercial insurance functions
  • Proactively identify business needs, inefficiencies, and opportunities, even when requirements are not clearly defined
  • Lead end‑to‑end business analysis activities, including:
    • Functional and non‑functional requirement definition
    • Process modeling and optimization
    • Impact and gap analysis
    • Translate complex business requirements into clear, structured documentation (business requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria)
  • Ensure alignment between business objectives and IT delivery, working closely with product owners, developers, architects, and testers
  • Support solution design by validating that proposed solutions meet Zurich’s business, regulatory, and operational needs
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, bringing structure, clarity, and best practices to the BA discipline
  • Operate effectively in an environment where priorities may evolve and where ambiguity is part of the role
What Makes You a Great Fit?

Skills and experience which are essential for this role:
  • Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst, ideally within commercial insurance or financial services
  • Strong understanding of insurance business concepts, such as underwriting, policy lifecycle, pricing, claims, or distribution
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to structure complex topics clearly
  • High level of autonomy and ownership – able to drive work forward without constant direction
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging both business and technical audiences
  • Experience working in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments
  • Nice to Have:
    • Experience working with Salesforce or Salesforce‑based insurance platforms (e.g., CRM, policy or distribution solutions)
    • Exposure to Agile or hybrid delivery models
    • Familiarity with data‑driven analysis, reporting, or integration‑heavy environments
