At Stayforlong, travel is more than a transaction; it's a journey of extraordinary moments. Born in Barcelona in 2015, we set out to disrupt an industry dominated by massive corporations. We believe in the power of prolonged stays - the longer you stay, the deeper the connection, and the better the rate. Travel on your own terms.
Our CultureWe are a team of 120 people in a dynamic, collaborative environment where every idea counts. We are inclusive by design, committed to equity and diversity, and serious about real work-life balance. Above all, we work by five cultural principles:
Ownership: We own our commitments, decisions, results and impact.
Trust: We create safety to speak openly, ask for help and share context.
Respect: We listen, prepare for the meeting, stay present and communicate with respect.
Give & receive feedback: We say things early, directly and constructively - and we welcome feedback, adjusting our actions and behaviour in response.
Play / Fail / Learn: We experiment, learn fast, pivot when needed and celebrate the learnings.
You will join the Product team as the owner of Checkout: the moment a traveler commits to a stay, and where much of our revenue and margin is won or lost. You will own the Checkout strategy end to end, turning booking intent into confirmed, reliable bookings and growing the value of every transaction through ancillaries and cross-selling. In Payments, you will be the product partner of our Payments & Fraud team, which leads the strategy: you turn it into a deliverable roadmap, challenge it with evidence and make sure communication flows through the relevant channels.
Your impactOwn the product roadmap for Checkout end to end and with full autonomy: the checkout experience, ancillaries and cross-selling (insurance, upselling, activities and bundling), booking reliability and confirmation workflows (B2C and B2B).
Lead the strategy to reduce and mitigate booking errors. Identify root causes on our side and work with Product Supply and Product Operations on supplier-side causes. Design mitigation and customer-facing flows that protect the traveler when something goes wrong, in partnership with Operations and Customer Experience.
Turn the Payments strategy defined by the Payments & Fraud team into a prioritized, deliverable roadmap: payment providers, alternative payment methods, partial payments, wallet and refunds. Challenge assumptions and propose alternatives backed by data, customer insight and technical constraints.
Own the customer experience of payment: the balance between friction and conversion at the point of payment, fraud-prevention checks, 3DS/SCA, payment failures and the refund experience, always within the policies set by Payments & Fraud.
Ensure PCI DSS compliance is built into the checkout and payment roadmap and into every change that touches payment flows or cardholder data, in partnership with Engineering, IT Security and Payments & Fraud.
Lead high-impact initiatives through continuous discovery (customer interviews, funnel analysis, opportunity mapping, fast validation), always with the customer at the center of decisions.
Design and run experiments in the checkout funnel with Data, and use product and business metrics to measure impact and make trade-off decisions.
Raise and resolve cross-team blockers and dependencies early.
Keep stakeholders aligned through transparent, ongoing communication:
Payments & Fraud, with whom you share goals and a joint planning cadence, and Revenue, on ancillaries, among others.
You will be accountable for, and measured by:
Checkout conversion: a higher checkout conversion rate and fewer drop-offs between booking intent and confirmed booking.
Booking reliability: fewer booking errors and failed confirmations, and less customer impact when they happen (for example, cancellations or CX contacts caused by booking issues).
Ancillary & cross-selling revenue: growth in ancillary attach rate and ancillary revenue per booking.
Payments performance (shared with Payments & Fraud): delivery and quality of the Payments roadmap, contribution to authorization rate, payment method coverage and cost of payments, fraud and chargebacks within agreed thresholds, and PCI DSS compliance maintained across checkout and payment flows.
3+ years of experience as a Product Manager at a fast-growing software company, building products with high traffic volumes.
Hands-on product experience in payments: you have worked on initiatives involving payment…
