Join GE Vernova's New Ventures & Strategy team and help shape what the company builds next to power the energy transition. In this Process and AI Analyst role, you won't just analyze opportunities — you'll personally build the dashboards, workflows, and AI-enabled tools that help leadership evaluate and advance new business ideas faster. It's a hands-on, high-visibility role for someone who would rather build a working prototype overnight than write a slide describing one.
WhyThis Role Matters
GE Vernova designs, builds, and services technology that generates, moves, and stabilizes roughly 25% of the world’s electricity today. As global energy demand grows by more than 50% over the next 20 years, the decisions made in this team about which new technologies and ventures to pursue will directly shape how the world powers itself — today and in the future.
In this role, you’ll sit at the center of that decision‑making process and build the tools that make it possible.
- Direct, high-visibility exposure to senior leadership and real strategic decisions
- Ownership over your own tools and ways of working, including the use of AI
- A close-up view of how GE Vernova builds new ventures in grid technology, energy storage, and the broader energy transition
- Room to grow as this function and your scope expand
- Own the venture evaluation process:
Manage the day‑to‑day operations of a multi‑stage venture evaluation pipeline, identifying friction points and proposing and implementing fixes. - Build dashboards and reporting tools:
Personally design and build the dashboards that give leadership real‑time visibility into the opportunity pipeline — a from‑scratch build, not a handoff to another team. - Apply AI hands‑on:
Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar generative AI platforms) to pull together and organize data from multiple sources, building working tools and refining them based on feedback. - Standardize intake:
Create and roll out templates and stakeholder questionnaires for evaluating new opportunities, improving them based on how they’re actually used. - Translate strategy into action:
Turn leadership’s strategic direction into working processes and tools, capturing lessons learned and recommending improvements along the way. - Coordinate across teams:
Run cross‑functional working sessions with engineering, sourcing, legal, and finance colleagues to resolve bottlenecks and keep initiatives moving. - Brief leadership:
Prepare clear, concise materials that turn complex information into action‑ready recommendations.
Required:
- Strong experience in a role where you personally built things with real ownership — for example, in startup operations, a venture studio, technical business operations, or a corporate innovation team
- A portfolio of things you’ve personally built — dashboards, automated workflows, or AI‑assisted tools — that you can walk through in detail, including what didn’t work and what you changed
- Hands‑on experience using AI tools to build real, working solutions — not only to speed up writing or research
- Working proficiency with a dashboarding or business intelligence (BI) tool such as Power BI or Tableau, and comfort learning new tools quickly
- Clear written communication skills, with the ability to turn your work into a leadership‑ready summary (coaching and support available as you develop this)
- Enough financial literacy to interpret basic business case metrics such as Net Present Value (NPV) and Return on Investment (ROI), with guidance available as needed
- Experience working effectively across time zones with a geographically remote manager or team
- Strategy or consulting background, paired with genuine hands‑on building experience
