About the role

The new role of Business Development Manager will lead the development & execution of the strategy to scale the biomedical collagen portfolio, leveraging the capabilities of the division and the strengths of our Bioiberica & Devro business units.

Responsibilities:
  • Identifying & developing new business opportunities whilst enhancing existing customer partnerships
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to identify, target, and penetrate new accounts
  • Conduct analysis on technical & financial viability of proposed projects
  • Manage sales budget, review pricing, and establish models for margin optimisation
  • Monitoring market dynamics, competitive activity and emerging opportunities
  • Design, build, and manage commercial contracts, to maximize value for both sides
  • Establish partnerships with KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) and academic institutions to enhance the awareness of our Biomedical tissue portfolio
  • Ensure all commercial activities comply with strict regulatory guidelines regarding animal derived materials, including ISO 22442 and relevant local regulations
About you:
  • Life science bachelor's degree, preferred in Biomedical Engineering, Biological Sciences, Veterinary Science
  • A Masters in Business Administration is an advantage
  • Advanced English and Spanish (not mandatory) language skills
  • More than 10 years' experience in medical device sales/ key account management/ business development in the field of biological materials or similar type of pharma portfolio.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for the sourcing and use of animal derived tissues in medical devices
  • Ability to work independently to build strong customer relationships
  • Builds effective networks relationships across the various operations and contributes to effective integration of entities
  • Collaborative and internal partnership approach with key departments (Regulatory Affairs, RD, Finance, Marketing)
  • Willingness to travel extensively Europe/ USA/ Australia in support of customers & to manufacturing
