VHIR is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Rheumatology Research Group and support the activities of the IMID-Biobank.
Main responsibilities and duties:- Handling, processing and storage of biological samples and associated data
- Maintaining laboratory paper and electronic records
- Performing basic maintenance and monitoring of laboratory equipment.
- Stock control of consumables and reagents Managing stock and inventory of consumables and reagents.
- Providing experimental and technical support to researchers and investigators
Required:
- CFGS (Higher-Level Training Cycle) - FP2 Laboratory technician or equivalent
Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (written and spoken)
Experience and knowledge:Required:
- Previous experience in biobanking and molecular biology
- Experience in tissue processing
- Experience working with automated laboratory equipment
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Access)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented, reliable and committed to delivering high-quality laboratory work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Working hours:
Full-time (37,5 hours per week). - Starting date:
October 2026. - Gross annual salary: €20,000.00 – 22,000.00 Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale.
- Contract type:
Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities. - Duration: 2 years
