Clinical Costs Analyst

In this role, you will manage planning and tracking of external clinical study costs across countries to support Clinical Development Operations and Medical Affairs. You will partner with study teams to forecast, accrue, and analyze clinical costs, ensuring data quality and timely reporting. You will act as the financial advisor for country study teams and drive process improvements in cost management.

Plan and track external clinical study costs in the cost tracking system with country study teams
Forecast clinical study costs in collaboration with study teams
Calculate and post monthly accruals for clinical study costs
Monitor monthly cost actuals and provide deviation analyses to country study teams
Ensure data quality of country study cost forecasts
Maintain knowledge of country-specific cost drivers and related contracts
Serve as the point of contact for country study teams on clinical study finances
Communicate effectively across professional levels and functions in an international environment
Seek support from the Bayer Local Organization as needed
Identify opportunities for process improvement
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Admin / Pharmaceuticals / Life Sciences or equivalent
3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry or a CRO
Advanced finance knowledge desirable
Knowledge of the clinical development lifecycle / drug development process
Ability to influence without hierarchical authority
Willingness to embrace change and work in a changing environment
Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization
Fluent in English and strong written/verbal communication
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and affinity to financial systems
