Master Data Management Professional MDM (Contractor)

We are hiring on behalf of one of our best clients in Barcelona. They are looking for a Data Management professional to support the implementation of a new Master Data Management (MDM) and Reference Data solution and to contribute to data governance practices across the organisation. You will assist with Proof of Concept (PoC) activities with vendors (Profisee, Clued In), help create and validate Golden Records, collaborate with global stakeholders, and support the transition of the solution into production.

The MDM tool will also be integrated with the Data Catalogue.

• Support the implementation of the MDM and Reference Data tool, including PoC execution, vendor interaction, and Golden Record validation.
• Assist in moving the MDM solution from PoC to production and in ensuring integration with the Data Catalogue.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance standards, such as classification rules, business terms, and documentation.
• Help identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and participate in data quality initiatives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to promote and adopt data governance best practices.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in data management, governance, or MDM.
• Hands‑on experience supporting or implementing MDM solutions.

• Strong knowledge of Python, REST APIs, and SQL for data validation and integration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with ETL/data pipelines and Data Catalogue tools.
• Understanding of data quality, data modelling, and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).
