About the RoleAs a Senior Solutions Consultant at Perk, you will be the technical backbone of our sales efforts for mid-market and growing enterprise accounts. Sitting at the intersection of Sales, Product, and Implementation, you will take ownership of complex deals, consulting directly with prospective customers to deeply understand their financial, HR, and IT landscapes.
This role requires an experienced professional who can operate autonomously. You will leverage your combination of pre-sales acumen to translate intricate customer requirements into scalable, high-value solution designs.
What You’ll Do Complex Discovery & Solution Selling- Lead deep-dive technical and functional discovery sessions with mid to senior level Finance, HR, and IT stakeholders to unearth root causes of process inefficiencies.
- Independently translate complex, sometimes ambiguous customer needs into comprehensive requirement documents and scalable solution architectures.
- Build and configure sophisticated, tailored prototypes that move beyond standard demos to address specific, high-value customer workflows.
- Partner with our Sales Team as the technical owner on complex sales cycles, qualifying technical feasibility early and defining the winning technical strategy. This could include conducting discovery calls, delivering product demonstrations, contributing to RFPs and leading proof of concepts for active deals.
- Deliver high-impact workshops and presentations that articulate the business value of Perk’s spend management platform to diverse audiences, from Controllers to CIOs.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding prospects through security reviews, IT landscape assessments, and integration strategy discussions.
- Serve as a crucial feedback loop from the field to Product Management, providing structured insights on feature gaps based on trend analysis across multiple deals.
- Ensure seamless handover from pre-sales to Post-Sales/Implementation teams by creating detailed architectural documentation.
- Contribute actively to the development of internal technical playbooks.
- Demonstrated understanding of regional accounting rules, financial controlling, and evolving spend management best practices in the context of a spend management solution.
- Working knowledge of one or more of the major ERP ecosystems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, MS Dynamics), confidently addressing complex data flow questions during the sales cycle.
- Experience: 5-7 years of proven success in a Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Solution Consulting role within the SaaS market (fintech/spend management preferred) or system integration experience in a tier-1 system integrator as a solution architect
