Senior Design System Designer New Bitpanda 27 July

Bitpanda, founded in 2014 in Vienna, is a user-friendly trade-everything platform that lets first-time investors and seasoned experts invest in cryptocurrencies, crypto indices, stocks, precious metals and commodities, serving more than 7 million customers across Europe. As a Senior Product Designer on the design system team, you will enable product teams to consistently build premium experiences at scale for millions of customers.

Your week is a mix of contributing to and maintaining the design system together with the DS designers and engineers, while collaborating with product teams to develop their projects.

What you'll do

• Co-own the design system: contribute to the growth and consistency of Bitpanda's DS by designing patterns, components and tokens and managing libraries, while creating clear and accessible documentation
• Lead end-to-end DS initiatives: own DS projects in product teams from start to finish, aligning closely with engineering and product requirements and leading solutions across all user scenarios
• Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product managers, engineers and other stakeholders to turn accessibility, business and user needs into simple, intuitive solutions that work at scale
• Evolve DS operations: contribute to grow and improve internal processes, frameworks and tooling for more efficient development and usage of the design system
• Mentor and advocate: support peers, give feedback and guidance on design systems, and promote DS value and adoption across teams

What they're looking for

• 5+ years collaborating closely with product and engineering peers in a design system team, or experience with design system responsibilities across cross-functional stakeholders
• Expert design systems skills including technical knowledge and a deep, strategic understanding to drive product quality and cohesion
• Generalist UX design skills with strong UI and visual abilities, able to execute at high quality and speed while leading projects autonomously
• State-of-the-art workflow with current industry-standard tools like Figma, Miro and JIRA, and experience using and contributing to design systems
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
