Nature of Role  Freelancing and based on the project needs.

Role Description  This is a remote, freelancing contract-based position for a Basque, Spanish and English linguist working on large language model (LLM) annotation. The role is task-based and on a contract basis.

Responsibilities include:

Recording audio in Basque, Spanish and English
Transcribing audio recordings
Translating and annotating French-English text
Ensuring linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness for AI models
Developing linguistic guidelines and maintaining data quality throughout the annotation process
Performing language analysis and supporting culturally appropriate output for AI models
Qualifications   Proficiency in Basque, Spanish and English, including advanced linguistic and cultural knowledge
Experience in translation and annotation
Strong attention to detail, language accuracy and quality control
Previous work with AI/data annotation tools is advantageous
Effective communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, Computational Linguistics, or a related field preferred
