Financial Institutions Sales Associate based out of Madrid
.
The position is within our Financial Institutions team within Santander’s Corporate & Investment Banking division. The successful candidate will be in charge of covering some of Santander’s bank relationships with the aim to grow these by executing our growth strategy within Cash Management and Trade & Working Capital solutions, becoming a key member of an existing and highly motivated diverse sales team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing relationships within a portfolio of banks. This group provides traditional VOSTRO, AutoFX and Trade Finance products to its clients. Our business partners include product specialists from Cash Management, Trade Finance and Risk.
To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:Commercial Origination & Client Engagement
- Managing a portfolio of banking relationships
- Identify, pursue, execute and close sales opportunities for within the GTB range of financial products and services.
- Represent the bank in client meetings.
- Manage complex, multi-product client relationships and supporting more senior coverage bankers
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Cash and Trade local & global product teams within GTB as well as with the different FIG teams under Banking & Corporate Finance
- Coordinate the sales and service efforts of multiple internal business partners
- Work closely with Financial Control, Risk, Legal and Compliance to ensure seamless execution and governance

Professional Experience- 3-6 years of experience in sales within the corporate banking world (required)
- Ideally proven experience in the GTB product suite (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree (Required)
- Fluency in Spanish & English (Required)
- Strong technical knowledge of GTB products (Preferred)
- Sales & Relationship management skills (Required)
- Communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage global clients (Preferred)
