Description
Apex Group is looking for a HR Business Partner based in Mexico. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, whilst contributing to a larger global HR team with significant cross-border involvement in projects across North America.
The role requires a high level of understanding of Mexican labour laws, operational and execution efficiency, a keen ability to work to deadlines, prioritise tasks effectively, and maintain accuracy under pressure. The successful candidate should demonstrate adaptability to changing business needs, excellent organisational skills, and a results-driven mindset with strong work ethics.
Job specification
Partner with senior stakeholders on HR topics such as but not limited to organizational change and employee relation cases/ legal topics
Understanding employment requirements by state and country of Mexico.
Hands on in designing and implementing HR processes and frameworks in line with local laws for the Mexico office.
Ensure timely HR policy and procedure changes including Employee Handbook, Benefits guide, etc, ensuring they are in line with local legislation and regulation, as well as align to Group standards
Actively participate in the benefits delivery for the Mexico office and review onboarding processes to make more efficient.
Execute employee relation cases, separation agreements, terminations, redundancies in line with business needs
Be aligned to the Regional Head of HR to drive consistency across the business and to share best practices
Work closely with the regional HR team for country input into global projects;
Support the regional delivery of the people strategy and key employee lifecycle activities (such as the compensation review process)
Provide support to managers and senior stakeholders on People and Culture topics
Support business on hiring strategy and budgets, working in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team; driving succession and talent planning.
Drive M&A related activities ensuring a smooth integration aligned with business strategy
Any other tasks and Ad hoc projects which may be assigned from time to time.
Skills Required:
Quick learner, capable of multi-tasking, team player
Ability to collaborate and ensure deliverables with cross functional teams without direct reporting responsibilities.
Team player and willing to support tasks and projects for different countries in the region as needed.
Ability to rollup sleeves but also address the root cause of issues to aid long term resolution
Keeping up to date with industry developments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience working closely with senior stakeholders, in a corporate environment
Minimum of 3+ years of experience
Locally relevant HR Professional Membership credentials would be a plus
Experience gained while working in a similar role and industry
Solid knowledge of employee relations processes and relevant employment legislation.
