Accounting & Tax Assistant Manager   About the Company
We are a company focused on automotive financing and secured lending, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and sustainable growth. We are looking for an Accounting & Tax Assistant Manager to strengthen our Finance team and ensure the integrity of our accounting and tax processes.
What You'll Do
As Accounting & Tax Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing key accounting and tax functions. Your main responsibilities will include:
Oversee the full accounting cycle and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information.
Lead monthly and annual closing processes, ensuring consistency and compliance.
Prepare and review monthly tax working papers and mandatory tax filings, including the annual tax return.
Coordinate and support external and internal audit processes.
Respond to tax authority requests and inquiries (e.g., SAT).
Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports to senior management.
Develop, document, and continuously improve accounting and tax policies, procedures, and controls.
Supervise and develop the accounting analyst team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Ensure proper control and administration of accounts payable.
What We're Looking For
Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
Experience

• Minimum 8 years of proven experience in accounting and tax roles, preferably within financial services companies or accounting firms.

• Strong experience in monthly and annual closings, tax compliance, and preparation of tax working papers.

• Experience managing financial audits.

• Prior experience leading and managing teams.
Technical Skills

• Solid knowledge of accounting and tax regulations (NIF and applicable financial regulations).

• Experience with accounting systems and ERPs such as:
Contpaqi (cloud version)
Oracle Net Suite
SAP

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

• Experience managing accounts payable systems.

• Conversational English required.
