Flexible, but expect long hours during close periods (e.g. 8am-6pm, with potential for evening work as well)
Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, ever-changing company in the energy/renewables industry. You'll be a key part of the accounting team, working closely with the Treasury group. While the core responsibilities are month-end close tasks, there is significant room for growth and taking on more complex projects as the company continues to scale rapidly. Responsibilities:
Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Utilize systems like INTACT, Flowcast, and Stamply
Proactively identify process improvements and automation opportunities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related quantitative field
3-5+ years of relevant experience, ideally with exposure to the energy/renewables industry
Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and ability to work with financial data

Experience with month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
Background working at a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred
Knowledge of US GAAP
Nice-to-Haves:
Familiarity with INTACT, Flowcast, and Stamply systems
SOX controls experience
Excellent communication skills and comfort reaching out cross-functionally
