Technical Manager

Purpose   Keep safe the Site Technology to assure that the design data base is maintaining and
modify according with the approved engineering standards.
Lead the chemical process focusing on the optimization of the production capacity of the
4 productive plants, raw material, and energetic consumption (gas, water, and
electricity) by identifying and eliminating possible restrictions in the process and other
relevant factors that could cause a low production capacity at the Matamoros Site.
Manage the resources to assure the effectiveness of the Quality System Management,
Quality Product & Process Management, and the effectiveness of the Control Quality
Laboratory Operation.
Lead the Research and Development Department according with the requirements of
the Chemical Process and Products.
Main responsabilities
Design the strategy to maintain the continuous improvement of the raw material, water, energy & gas units' consumptions.
Provide guidance to the Process Engineering Department to identify opportunities and the implementation of actions to maintain the production capacity necessary for the plants at the Matamoros Site.
Identify and eliminate the equipment capacity restrictions (debottlenecking) to increase the operation capacity for the Chemical Process at the Matamoros Site.
Design and implement the plans for the identification of critical equipment that could impact the process safety, environmental, production and process, as part of the Asset Integrity Management (AIM) form the Process Safety Management Standard.
Design and implement the plans for the Process Knowledge updating at the Matamoros Site according with the Process Safety Management Standard.
Establish the action plan for the review of the operation procedures by verifying and updating the Operational Conditions Standard and its impact in case of operate the process out of the standard limits.
Foster collaboration with the Chemurs Company trough exchanging process information by evaluating, implementing, and defining opportunities as a result of this communication.
Knowledge and experience requiered
Chemical Engineer with more than 15 years of experience in the Chemical Industry.
Spanish & English.
Production experience of the hydrofluoric acid process.
Coordination experience in the Research and Development Projects.
Management experience in the areas of Process Engineering, Laboratory and Quality Management System.
Deep knowledge in the management of the raw materials specifications.
Deep knowledge in the final products specifications related to the Site ́s chemical process.
Knowledge in environmental legal requirements such as legal compliance regarding to water, energy, and gas.
ISO 9001 Standard (Quality Management System) knowledge.
Process Safety Management Knowledge.
Knowledge in the Hydrogen Fluoride Industry Practices Institute Guides.
Process simulation knowledge.
Data analytics knowledge.
Management of Change knowledge.
Process Hazard Analysis knowledge.
