Quality Engineer – Plastic Injection
Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico
At Tekni Plex Healthcare, we are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join our team. This key role is responsible for ensuring that plastic injection molding processes consistently meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and internal quality expectations. The position plays a critical role in driving continuous improvement, reducing defects, supporting validations, and maintaining product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Job Description
The Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving quality performance within plastic injection molding operations. This role focuses on defect prevention, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure product conformity and customer satisfaction.
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience
• 2 to 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, preferably within plastic injection molding or regulated manufacturing environments.
Knowledge, Training and Specific Skills
Injection molding process analysis and quality assurance.
Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.
GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) interpretation.
Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and/or IATF 16949.
Process Validation methodologies including IQ, OQ, and PQ.
Root Cause Analysis, CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with customer quality requirements throughout injection molding processes.
Monitor and analyze quality metrics including scrap, rework, PPM, and process performance indicators.
Lead root cause investigations using methodologies such as 8D, Ishikawa, and 5 Whys.
Coordinate and support PPAP activities, engineering changes, and process validations.
Maintain and update quality documentation including FMEAs, Control Plans, and technical reports.
Support internal, customer, and certification audits while driving continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
Languages
• Intermediate to Advanced English.
