PR Manager

About the Role   As the PR Manager for Anker Mexico, you'll lead external storytelling efforts to elevate Anker brand awreness and business expantion. You'll work closely with media partners and internal teams to craft localised, culturally relevant, earned media stories. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic communicator with expertise and strong media instincts to help introduce — and grow — a newly entered tech brand.
Responsibilities
Lead Comms Plans:
Execute PR and communication strategies to support Anker Mexico's ongoing presence, aligned with global positioning and local cultural relevance
Drive Media Outreach:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key editors, writers, and outlets in Mexico;
Secure earned media coverage across technology, lifestyle, consumer and business/economic press
Content creation and localization:
Draft and localize our global press releases, pitches, media FAQs, and other PR materials. Shape and adapt earned media narratives that reflect the Mexican culture, values and voices.
Monitor and Elevate Tech/Consumer Trends:
Keep a pulse on tech and media trends, competitive landscape, and relevant local narratives to inform PR strategy and uncover timely story angles
Collaborate Cross-Functionally:
Partner with global PR, MX mkt, legal and complaince, product tseam and sales teams and drive holistic PR impact.
Public Opinion Monitoring:
Proficient in using public opinion monitoring tools (i.e. meltwater), mastering the core methodology of crisis public relations, and capable of handling negative public opinions.
Manage Inbound Media:
Field, assess, and respond to LATAM press inquiries, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and thoughtful responses
What We're Looking For
5+ Years Related

Experience:

In-house or agency experience in public relations, communications, or journalism, with a strong track record in consumer-facing storytelling. Experience working in or across Mexico and/or Brazil is required
Media Relations Expertise:
Demonstrated success securing earned coverage in Mexico media, acoss types of tech, lifestyle, business/economic, consumer, etc.
Exceptional Content Creation:
You can spot a compelling story, shape it for press, and craft narratives that resonate across borders. Clear, concise, and adaptable writing in Spanish, with the ability to localize global brand content.
Tech Lover:
Curious about latest technology trends and consumer insights. Be able to combine them with our innovative technology into thoughtful and timely media opportunities.
Self-Starter:
Proactive, dependable, and confident in owning regional work streams, making sound judgments, and moving projects forward independently. Able to manage multiple deadlines, track deliverables, and bring structure to fast-moving communications moments
Cross-Functional Communicator:
Collaborative, responsive, and comfortable partnering with global and local teams, agency partners, and subject matter experts
Fluency in Spanish and English(working lanuage)
Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in communication, public relations, marketing or related fields is preferred.
