Content Creator and Video Editor

Contract:

Part-time Remote Contractor (20 hours weekly / 80 hours monthly)

Hours:

Monday - Friday, Flexible between 9 AM - 6 PM PST
Rate:  $8 - $12 USD per hour / $640 - $960 USD monthly (Salary is negotiable depending on experience and location)

What You'll Do
As the Content Creator and Video Editor, you will lead the creation and execution of engaging social media content that aligns with the business goals. You will work closely with the marketing team to develop innovative content concepts, leveraging your graphic design and video editing expertise to create compelling social media posts, including video content, carousels, infographics, and more. Your primary responsibility will be to craft scroll-stopping content tailored to platforms like Instagram, Tik Tok, and You Tube Shorts, while also managing multiple video projects.

You will monitor trends, analyze competitor activity, and continuously adapt strategies to enhance engagement and performance. Your responsibilities will include:

Content Strategy and Video Creation
Develop innovative video content strategies aligned with business goals and audiences, focusing on storytelling and social media trends.
Generate scroll-stopping content for Instagram, Tik Tok, and other platforms, showcasing clients' personalities, products, and values and leveraging storytelling techniques to produce impactful infographics, carousels, and captivating visuals.
Write compelling copy, including captions, hooks, headlines, and CTAs, ensuring content aligns with the brand voice and objectives.

Content Production and Video Editing
Edit a high volume of short-form videos monthly, optimizing content for Instagram Reels, Tik Tok, You Tube Shorts, and other platforms.
Focus on video editing (no filming required), pulling footage from the production team and delivering polished, on-brand content.
Ensure consistency in brand aesthetics across all content, blending design expertise with a deep understanding of platform trends.

Project Management and Collaboration
Manage multiple video editing projects simultaneously, maintaining organization and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate closely with the Account Manager to transform ideas into innovative content concepts, including video scripts and storyboards.
Align all content with the brand's overarching strategy, maintaining consistency across platforms and campaigns.

Market Research and Trend Monitoring
Conduct in-depth market research to identify trending topics, industry developments, and competitor activities.
Identify opportunities to incorporate trending formats, audio, and content styles into campaigns to maximize engagement and reach.

What You Should Have
Minimum of three years of social media marketing, multifaceted marketing management and content creation (graphic design and video editing), specifically on Instagram.
Background in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
At least one year of experience working remotely with clients/companies from the US, UK, CA, and/or AU.
Strong graphic design and video editing skills, with proficiency in content creation tools like Canva and Cap Cut…
