Puesto: General Accountant (sr specialist)
Functional Summary

Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial records through timely recording, reconciliation, and reporting of accounting transactions. The General Accountant prepares month/quarter/annual closings, financial statement preparation, and compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards (IFRS/NIF) and Hexagons’s policies.

Duties and Responsibilities
Record/Approve accounting entries (accruals, provisions, amortizations, adjustments).
Review and maintain up-to-date general ledger accounts.
Participate in cost analysis.
Validate the integrity of modules (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Treasury).
Knowledge of IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Perform monthly reconciliations of accounting and bank accounts.
Manage treasury operations.
Prepare information for internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
Review tax calculations/manage external consulting.
Control inventory, fixed assets, and depreciation.
Payroll
Participate in the preparation of the organization's budgets.
Preparing intercompany invoice calculations
Ensuring compliance with INEGI/REPSE regulations
Supervising team member(s)

Work Environment
On-site work with the option to work from home, in accordance with company policies and procedures, and based on job responsibilities.  (1 day of home office)

Occasional travel required.
The primary work will be performed on-site; occasional work from home may be scheduled.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
Advanced English
Desirable:
Certification or coursework in IFRS, internal control, or auditing.
3 to 5+ years of experience in general accounting.

Experience with month-end closings, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/NIF).
Intermediate/advanced Excel skills.
Desirable:
Knowledge of taxes.
