Role Description
The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including posting journal entries, maintaining ledgers, reconciling bank and account balances, and processing invoices and payments. The role includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies. The Accountant will also assist with audits, monitor cash flow, and provide analysis to support management decisions.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Benidorm, with a blend of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. The position involves regular collaboration with colleagues, external partners, and auditors to maintain accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications

Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.

Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes, with the ability to interpret and apply financial policies.

Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to identify variances and trends.

Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non‑finance stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a hybrid work environment.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA or local equivalent) are an advantage.

Prior experience in a similar accountant or finance role, preferably within an international or multicultural organization.
