Lead Technical Artist – Tripledot Games

As the Lead Technical Artist, you will manage and guide a skilled team, overseeing the technical art for both live games and new games in development. The role requires strong managerial skills, strategic planning, a solid technical background, and hands‑on collaboration across departments to ensure optimal game performance and excellent visuals.

• Design and implement the “Unity layer” linking art and animation with the programmers’ codebase.
• Construct new game features within Unity, including Unity UI, following internal technical workflow.
• Write custom C# components for complex visual elements.
• Optimise existing and new features.
• Create animations, particle effects, and custom shaders.
• Lead and mentor a team of 2 experienced Technical Artists.
• Take a proactive role in product development in line with company goals.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute to task planning and estimation with other Leads.

• Expertise in the Unity engine, especially Unity UI.
• Experience with different architectural approaches to game development.
• Ability to write clean, performant C# code.
• Experience with Git and best practices.
• Ability to create animations, particle effects, and custom shaders.
• Experience optimising games for smooth performance across devices.
• Proven experience in leading a team, mentoring, and guiding team members.
• Experience in strategic planning, accurate task estimation, and aligning with project timelines.
• Drive to proactively optimise technical art workflows to enhance efficiency and performance.
