Software Development Specialist – BETA Technology Centre

The BETA Technology Centre is a multidisciplinary team of over 140 researchers. We are seeking a dynamic individual with leadership skills who is eager to join the Green Digital Transition unit as a technical lead for web application development.

• Involve in the conceptualisation, definition and design of the application architecture.
• Front‑end development and interface usability.
• Back‑end development and API architecture.
• Database management.
• Programming and code writing.
• Deployment of web applications.
• Preparation of end‑user documentation.

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Technical Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Telecommunications, Environmental Sciences or other science degrees.
• C1 level in Catalan or commitment to obtain it.
• B2 level in English or commitment to obtain it.
• Knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Knowledge of specific Python packages (Pandas, Num Py, Flask).
• 5 years of demonstrable experience in software development.
• Experience with projects using continuous integration.
• Basic knowledge of sustainability, life‑cycle analysis and carbon footprints.

Inclusion in the professional group Management, administrative and service staff (PTGAS) in the category Specialist. Type of contract: permanent. Total work: full‑time. Gross salary: 36,308.70 €.
