Senior Manager, Engineering (Remote – Mexico)
We are seeking new talent to join our growing Technology organization!

At One Call, we’re transforming the workers’ compensation industry through innovative technology. As we continue expanding our Engineering organization in Mexico, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Engineering to lead high-performing software engineering teams and drive the modernization of our technology platform while delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions.

What You’ll Do

Lead multiple software engineering teams (10–15+ engineers) across different product areas.
Drive engineering excellence through Agile, Dev Ops, CI/CD, and modern software engineering practices.
Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Design teams to define technical strategy and deliver business impact.
Lead architecture discussions and influence technical direction across engineering teams.
Guide engineering teams through application modernization, technical debt reduction, platform evolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote engineering best practices including software quality, code reviews, automated testing, observability, security, and operational excellence.
Partner with engineering teams to improve scalability, reliability, maintainability, and system performance.
Manage engineering metrics, delivery execution, capacity planning, and organizational growth.
Collaborate with globally distributed teams across Product, Engineering, and Architecture.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience leading Software Engineering teams.
Strong technical background with previous hands-on software development experience.
Experience leading engineering teams building enterprise applications using modern backend technologies such as .NET/C# or Java.
Experience participating in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and engineering decision-making.
Experience leading teams through legacy modernization, application modernization, cloud migration, or platform transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, and scalable application design.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Solid understanding of Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines, Git Hub, automated testing, and modern software engineering practices.
Experience working with SQL and/or No

SQL databases.
Experience working with globally distributed and remote engineering teams.
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
Ability to balance business priorities with sound technical decisions while influencing engineering direction.

Our engineering teams build and modernize cloud-native applications using modern software engineering practices. While technologies continue to evolve, successful candidates should have experience leading teams working with technologies such as:

Java (strongly preferred as an alternative background)
AWS, Azure, or GCP

CI/CD
REST APIs
Microservices
SQL / No

SQL databases
Automated testing
Observability and monitoring

Requirements
Advanced/professional English proficiency is required.
Must be based in Mexico.
This is a remote position within Mexico.
