The Role

Finance at MONEI is a growth lever, not a back office. As CFO, you'll own the financial strategy of a regulated fintech scaling fast across Southern Europe—turning millions of payment events into the numbers, models, and decisions that move the business forward. This is a senior, hands-on, data-driven role for someone who'd rather build dashboards and pricing models than sit through another budget review.

What You'll Do

• Own the long-range plan, operating model, and board reporting.

• Build and instrument the metrics that actually matter: take rate, contribution margin per merchant, processor mix economics, LTV/CAC, payback.

• Lead pricing strategy and unit economics work with Product and Commercial.

• Run a tight FP&A cycle: forecasting, variance, cash runway, scenario planning.

• Build the financial models and reporting that support international expansion and board-level decisions.

• Partner with Compliance and Legal on capital adequacy, safeguarding, and the financial side of our payments license.

• Coach internal finance talent—leave the function stronger than you found it.

What You'll Need

• 8+ years in senior finance roles (CFO, VP Finance, or Head of FP&A) at a high-growth scale-up.

• Genuinely data-fluent: SQL, BI tools (Looker, Metabase), and serious financial modelling.

• Track record building financial reporting, pricing, and unit economics frameworks at a fast-growing company.

• Strategic operator, not a controller—you build frameworks but ship the answer this week.

• Professional Spanish and English (C1+).

Bonus Points

• Fintech, payments, or regulated SaaS experience.

• Direct experience with EU payment institutions, EMIs, or Bank of Spain regulation.

• International expansion: multi-entity, multi-currency, cross-border tax.

• Prior board observer or advisor experience.
