Senior Project Manager
Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the overall coordination and management of clinical trials from start‑up through close‑out activities. The SPM directs the technical, financial and operational aspects of the projects, ensuring successful completion of clinical trials. The SPM works with major functional area leads to identify and evaluate fundamental issues, interpret data on complex issues, make sound business decisions and implement solutions.
The SPM ensures that all project deliverables meet the customer’s time, quality and cost expectations, and is accountable, with support from Project Management Directors, for meeting contract expectations.
- Coordinate and manage clinical trials from start‑up through close‑out activities.
- Direct technical, financial and operational aspects of projects.
- Collaborate with functional area leads to identify, evaluate and solve complex project issues.
- Make business decisions and ensure solutions are implemented.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet time, quality and cost expectations.
- Account for deliverables in collaboration with Project Management Directors and other functional leads.
- High level of responsibility and accountability in all tasks.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in demanding situations.
- Thorough knowledge of project management processes and budgeting.
- Experience successfully managing and/or leading multidisciplinary project teams.
- 6–7 years of industry experience with a minimum of 5 years in a Clinical Project Management role within a CRO setting.
- Oncology experience in a PM role is required.
- University/College degree in Life Sciences is preferred.
- Ability to travel when needed.
