Packaging Engineer - Remote

Hunter Douglas, Playas de Rosarito is looking to hire an experienced Packaging Engineer to join our North American team. This position will be based in Playas de Rosarito but will require occasional travel to other Hunter Douglas facilities. This individual will help to support packaging design, implementation, Quality improvements, and Packaging Process Improvements.

Monitor shipping-related Quality issues and implement process improvements to drive Quality
Implement new packaging designs along with work instructions, equipment set up, and training
Bachelor’s degree in product design, packaging or related engineering fields.
~Strong knowledge of packaging technology, materials and design principles with knowledge of testing methods, regulations and standards for packaging.
~ Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software with project management skills.
~ Proficiency in packaging-related software packages:
Solid Works, Artios CAD, Adobe Illustrator
~ Excellent Communication (written and spoken) in both Spanish and English
