Senior Mechanical Design Engineer | Remote
Are you passionate about tooling design and making a real impact on manufacturing operations from anywhere? We’re looking for a  Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Tooling Specialist)  to join our team in a fully remote position.

About the Role
As a Senior Tooling Specialist, you will act as a key bridge between  engineering and the production floor , translating manufacturing needs into  robust, safe, and efficient tooling solutions . Your work will directly impact production agility, quality, cycle time, and operational reliability.

Activities:

Design and develop  tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gauges  for manufacturing and assembly lines
Create detailed  3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings  using Solid Works or CATIA
Apply  advanced GD&T  and iterate designs based on production feedback
Generate and maintain  technical documentation, drawings, and BOMs
Collaborate daily with  onshore engineering teams (English required)
Support manufacturing with DFMA principles and resolve shop-floor design questions
Deliver progress updates, weekly reports, and final project documentation

Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in  Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Design (mechanical focus)  or related field
5+ years of experience  in tooling / fixtures design
Advanced proficiency in  Solid Works or CATIA
Advanced application of  GD&T  in production drawings
Strong knowledge of  manufacturing processes

Experience with  FEA / simulation , DFMA, and PLM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill)
Ability to work in  agile environments  and collaborate across time zones
