Electrical Design Engineer - Amazon

TMC is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the engineering, design,   and execution of automated intralogistics and distribution systems for large-scale fulfillment
operations across North America. This role is focused on delivering high-quality electrical designs for conveyor, sortation, and material handling systems within fast-paced e-commerce environments.
The ideal candidate brings direct design experience working within Amazon fulfillment center projects, a strong command of electrical standards and documentation, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.
This is a remote position with required periodic visits to client sites in the United States. Non-U.S.
citizen candidates must hold a valid visitor or business visa (B1/B2 or equivalent) to enter the United States as a condition of employment.

| What do we expect from you?

Responsibilities:
Develop and review electrical design packages including schematics, panel layouts, cable
schedules, and bill of materials for automated material handling systems.
Design control panel assemblies and electrical distribution systems in compliance with NFPA
70 (NEC), UL standards, and Amazon-specific engineering requirements.
Produce and maintain AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN-based drawings throughout the full
design lifecycle including as-built documentation.
Coordinate with controls, mechanical, and project management teams to ensure electrical
designs align with system architecture and project specifications.
Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with safety,
regulatory, and customer standards.
Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) activities by reviewing electrical assemblies and
verifying panel builds against design documentation.
Identify and resolve design conflicts or engineering change requests in a timely and documented
manner.
Interface directly with Amazon project teams to incorporate customer-specific standards and
design feedback throughout the project.
Maintain accurate project documentation including design revisions, change logs, and approval records.
Support on-site inspection visits to Amazon fulfillment centers as required for design validation or commissioning coordination.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in electrical design within automation,
intralogistics, or material handling environments, with demonstrated experience on Amazon
fulfillment center projects.
Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent
platforms.
Experience designing low-voltage control systems, motor control circuits, and electrical
distribution for conveyor and sortation equipment.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple design packages simultaneously
within project deadlines.
Effective communication and coordination skills across engineering and project management
disciplines.
Advanced English required.
Availability to travel to client sites across North America for short-duration inspection visits as
project may require.
