Gender Officer

The Institut de Ciència de Materials de Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) is recruiting a highly motivated professional as a Gender Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the ICMAB-CSIC action plan for equality and inclusion.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing several activities and actions, ensuring high quality and efficiency.

• Provide the directorship team with guidance and advice on equality and gender perspectives.
• Implementation, monitoring, evaluation and revision of the Equality and Inclusion Action Plan. Dissemination of its results.
• Management of a database of information on gender equality and needs of minorities.
• Organization of awareness and training campaigns on equality and inclusion.
• Sensitization, support and guidance of researchers in gender issues.
• Analysis of impact of R+D activities at ICMAB on gender equality.
• Prepare reports and statistics in the field.
• Support researchers in explaining the gender dimension of their research in applications.

• Bachelor's Degree in Socio-Cultural Gender Studies, a Bachelor’s degree with a specialisation in gender studies, equality policies or diversity management (although other specialisations will be considered).
• Experience in equality plans, collection of gender indicators, evaluation of measures will be advantageous.
• Full command (advanced level) of English and Spanish, any other European languages desirable. Catalan will be advantageous.
• Practical experience in Human Resources and project management will be advantageous.
• Experience of work on Equality and Inclusion in research centres will be advantageous.
