The  Search and Listings  team’s mission is to  envision, build, and deploy the next-generation end-to-end platform for real estate listing ingestion, storage, and search at massive scale  to provide leverage for Compass. Every team and agent at Compass relies on our work to make data-informed decisions as they grow their business on top of this strong foundation.

You will help Compass become the  leading source of real estate information in New York City by driving our data platform forward with a metrics-driven, continuous improvement approach.  You will  collaborate with engineers to architect, build, and maintain the back-end and front-end solutions  necessary to create a comprehensive and actionable model of every real estate property available to be bought or sold in NYC.
You will serve as  Product Manager for Search & Listings  experiences, working cross-functionally with company leadership, data operations, engineers, analysts, legal, support teams, and other Product and Program managers to grow and maintain the Compass data platform for our most complex market.

Transform Building Data & Logic:  Lead the product definition and improvement of our Building Data infrastructure to resolve persistent data quality challenges. You will partner with Legal to ensure our logic reduces liability and provides clarity to consumers.
Drive NYC Data Quality:  Guide Compass to become the leading source of real estate information in NYC by identifying and developing solutions for listing and building data quality problems that are unique and endemic to the region.
Feature Delivery & Monitoring:  Deliver and maintain your features, including the monitoring of key metrics associated with their performance, to discern their effectiveness and identify opportunities to create additional value for our agents and their clients.
SDLC Ownership:  Own and manage the software development lifecycle for Compass data products from concept through launch and adoption.
Operational

Collaboration:

Collaborate closely with your counterpart  Program Manager  and the Data Operations team to ensure that engineering solutions and operational processes support and complement one another for maximum efficiency.

5+ years experience in software product/project management roles building and launching successful data-driven products,  ideally within residential real estate.
~ Fluent English  spoken and written.
~ Experience  managing large-scale data sets, data pipelines, creating ETL tools, managing data conversion, and setting up processes to continuously measure data quality.
~ experience manipulating large raw datasets using SQL, Python, and/or advanced spreadsheet formulas is highly valued.
~2+ years experience of database or ETL design, implementation, and maintenance  is  preferred  .
