Robotics IT Admin - Cybersecurity

Position

Position: IT Infrastructure Engineer – ABB Robotics.

Reports to:

R&D Team Lead – Robotic Software Engineering.

Location:

Sant Quirzedel Vall ès, Barcelona (Hybrid).

• Act as the first point of contact within R&D for product‑related issues and maintenance.
• Set up, manage, and optimize the IT infrastructure, hardware, and networks for the Barcelona office and other on‑prem and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with IT peers in Zurich to ensure seamless technical operations and standardized workflows.
• Serve as a bridge between local sites and global corporate stakeholders to understand, navigate and implement ABB Robotics’ IT policies and procedures.
• Enforce robust cybersecurity practices and ensure local compliance with global corporate security standards.
• Provide hands‑on endpoint management, software provisioning and day‑to‑day IT support for the local team.

• 5 years of professional experience in IT Administration, Systems Administration or IT Infrastructure.
• Valid cybersecurity certification required (e.g., ISC2 CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+ or equivalent).
• Proven experience setting up and configuring IT infrastructure for new office locations or scaling environments.
• Strong understanding of corporate IT policies, governance and enterprise‑level stakeholder management.
• Solid knowledge of networking (firewalls, VPNs, routing), OS deployment and endpoint management, primarily Linux.
• Effective communication in English (essential for daily collaboration with the Zurich team and global corporate stakeholders).
