Senior IT Operations Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior IT to own and evolve our IT operations ’ll work alongside one other IT team member and take direct ownership of day‑to‑day IT work, playing a key role in driving automation and efficiency across the company.

• Be hands‑on with daily IT operations.
• Run helpdesk support, triage and resolve issues for employees across the company.
• Full employee lifecycle from an IT perspective: manage onboarding (account provisioning, device setup, access grants, tooling walkthroughs) and off‑boarding (account deactivation, access revocation, device recovery, data handling), ensuring a smooth and secure experience at every stage.
• Full device lifecycle (laptops, phones, tablets) including procurement, provisioning, and decommissioning.
• MDM platform ownership and operations, managing device policies, compliance and security configurations.
• SaaS tooling stack administration (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and others) – managing user accounts, permissions and access controls across all company platforms, including regular access reviews and least‑privilege enforcement.
• Collaborate with Engineering and other departments to identify and implement automation opportunities that reduce manual work across the company.
• Manage vendor relationships for IT services and hardware.
• Maintain IT documentation, asset inventory and internal knowledge base.
• Contribute to IT security practices: endpoint protection, patch management, vulnerability response and security awareness.
• Support compliance requirements related to IT operations (COPPA, kidSAFE, data protection, etc.).

• 5 years of experience in IT operations or systems administration.
• Strong hands‑on skills across macOS and Windows environments.
• Experience with MDM solutions (Kandji, Jamf, Fleet, Jump Cloud, or similar).
• Solid knowledge of Google Workspace administration.
• Experience with identity and access management, SSO and directory services.
• Experience designing and running structured onboarding/off‑boarding processes, ideally with some level of automation.
• Scripting ability (Bash, Python or similar) to automate repetitive tasks and build internal tools.
• Familiarity with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall basics).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication – able to work with engineers and non‑technical teams alike.

• Experience in a tech startup or scale‑up environment.
• Experience integrating IT workflows with tools like Slack, Notion or other collaboration platforms.
• Familiarity with Linux server administration.
• Experience with security compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).

Although this role is remote friendly, it is required to be based in Madrid to be available to come into our HQ whenever the role’s functions require it.

As a fully remote company, clear and effective spoken and written communication in English is essential. Fluency is required; certifications are not necessary.
