Media Markt Saturn Technology is working to make Europe’s number-one consumer electronics retailer the technology leader in its industry. Several hundred developers, UX designers and system architects work in agile teams to develop customer-focused technology solutions for more than 6 million customers every day in 13 countries.
Задачи:Own and drive the end-to-end UX and UI design process for selected digital products and features, from discovery to delivery;
Work in small, iterative steps using lightweight artefacts such as sketches and prototypes;
Validate assumptions quickly with users and data;
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data/AI and Business to understand user needs, define hypotheses and success metrics, and plan design work;
Design user journeys, flows and interactions across web, app and tools;
Create wireframes, interaction concepts and low- to high-fidelity prototypes aligned with the brand, design system and accessibility standards;
Use AI-assisted tools for ideation, variants, UX copy, localisation and research synthesis, and critically evaluate their output;
Design and refine AI- and data-enabled features with a focus on transparency, user control and trust;
Analyse quantitative data such as funnels, experiments and dashboards;
Plan and run user tests and other qualitative research;
Integrate user feedback and insights into product decisions and iterations;
Design for human and synthetic users, ensuring robust and well-defined interaction contracts;
Contribute to and evolve design systems, patterns and guidelines across platforms and teams;
Facilitate workshops, design reviews and alignment sessions;
Provide feedback and coaching to other designers;
Improve UX practices, processes and ways of working across teams.
Several years of experience in UX/UI design for digital products in a fast-paced, agile environment;
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human–Computer Interaction or a related field, or equivalent practical experience;
Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, complex flows and interaction/service design, visual design skills, and measurable impact where possible;
Experience with Lean UX, hypothesis-driven iteration, close collaboration with Product and Engineering, and outcome-focused work;
Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, Axure, Framer or Principle;
Strong data mindset and confidence in interpreting quantitative data, evaluating user tests, and turning insights into design decisions;
Solid AI literacy, including understanding of AI/ML product experiences and UX implications such as trust, transparency and control;
Hands‑on experience using AI tools in the design workflow and judgment to know when human expertise must lead;
Strong communication skills in English;
Experience working in an international, multidisciplinary environment;
For the senior level: proven end‑to‑end ownership, ability to influence beyond the immediate product area, and experience mentoring other designers;
Nice to have:
Interest or experience in designing for non‑human or synthetic users, German.
