Trainee - Accounting & Tax

AOP Health is the European pioneer for integrated therapies for rare diseases and in critical care. To enhance our team in Madrid we are looking for a:

The Accounting & Tax Support Trainee willassistthe Finance team in Iberia with daily accounting operations and tax-related tasks. This role offers hands-on experience in financial processes within a multinational healthcare environment, supporting compliance with local regulations and internal policies.

• Support daily accounting activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assistin processing invoices, payments, expense reports, and revenue recognition.
• Helpmaintainaccuratefinancial records and documentation.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assistin the preparation of VAT returns and other local tax filings.
• Support tax compliance processes and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with external advisors and internal stakeholders when required.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting support activities.
• Support the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of operational expenses and cost control measures.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and local accounting and tax regulations.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previousinternship or academic experience in accounting or tax.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Navision or similar).
• Knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (Portuguese is a plus).
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
