Front-end Software Engineer

At DXC Spain we are looking for a Front‑end Software Engineer to join our great team of Assure. DXC Assure Digital Platform is a digitally‑enabled, end‑to‑end SaaS offering that provides business services supporting the entire insurance industry. It is cloud native at its core, API enabled, configurable and highly automated. The candidate will work from the Asturias Center and join a global team of UX designers, front‑end engineers, back‑end engineers, architects and product owners, all contributing towards DXC Assure SaaS roadmap.

They will also have the opportunity to contribute to DXC’s open‑source and publicly available projects such as the Halstack Design System and DXC Developer Central.

• 3–5 years of experience in front‑end development.
• High level of English.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, React and testing.
• Experience with design systems.
• Solid software engineering literacy.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Desirable:
  Infrastructure as Code (IaC) engineering, component‑based programming, AWS architecture knowledge, REST API knowledge, event‑driven architecture.

• Investigate, research and develop new tools, cloud technologies, platforms and languages to be added to the DXC Assure Digital Platform roadmap.
• Participate in the full product life cycle, working with product owners and architects to shape new features.
• Deliver new product features, resolving complex problems while focusing on clean, reusable, and tested code, scalability, availability and cost.
• Mentor and coach peers through code reviews or pair programming sessions, encouraging professional growth.
• Help define system strategy and shape roadmaps for new initiatives in collaboration with product management, design leadership and engineering.
• Communicate with the inner or open‑source community to improve the Halstack design system and other internal platform services and tools.
