Location: Las Rozas de Madrid

International School   is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic   Geography and History Teacher   to join our Secondary School team for a maternity cover position starting in   September 2026  . The successful candidate will teach within the   IB Middle Years Programme (MYP)  and the   IB Diploma Programme (DP)  (History and Geography).

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and educational objectives
Design assessments and learning activities that support student achievement and progress
Monitor student learning and provide timely feedback
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning
Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement
Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives
Participate actively in professional development opportunities and the wider life of the school

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Humanities or a related field within the Arts and Humanities branch of knowledge
Recognised teaching qualification, including the Master's Degree in Secondary Education (or equivalent teaching certification).
Previous teaching experience at Secondary level.
English proficiency at C1 level or equivalent.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable
Experience teaching IB programmes (MYP and/or DP).
Experience working in international school settings.
Spanish language skills.

We Offer
Full-time maternity cover contract.

09:00–17:00.
