Cybersecurity, Privacy and AI Safety    IE University´s School of Science and Technology invites qualified applicants for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in Computer Science, beginning September 2027 in Madrid. To guarantee full consideration for a position, applications must be completed by October 31st, 2026.
Applicants for this position should demonstrate a strong research record in core areas such as: adversarial machine learning, AI robustness, verification and formal methods, cryptography, fraud detection, intrusion detection, AI alignment, calibration, conformal prediction, uncertainty quantification, AI interpretability and explainability, or risk-aware decision making.
These fundamental methods should be demonstrated through applications in domains such as: cybersecurity, healthcare, robotics, autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, critical infrastructure, energy systems, finance, scientific AI, public sector AI, or human-AI collaboration.

Qualifications     PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Excellence in research evidenced primarily by sustained contributions and publications in top-ranked and field relevant journals.
Independence and ability to lead research projects in your field. New faculty is expected to submit research proposals to attract funds in competitive calls.
Ability to participate in applied research and knowledge transfer in interdisciplinary teams at the interface between technical and application-oriented domains.
Strong commitment to teaching curricula in and around computer science.
Spanish language skills are not required. Our working language is English. Both our faculty and student body are highly diverse and international.
