We are pleased to invite applications for the role of Secondary & Sixth Form German Teacher for the  academic year. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated and collaborative team committed to delivering high-quality language education and inspiring students to develop their linguistic and intercultural competencies.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching  German across Secondary Education (Years 7-10) and Sixth Form (Bachillerato),  supporting students in achieving academic success while fostering a genuine appreciation for the German language and culture.
The  ideal candidate  will have:
A degree and teaching qualifications that meet the requirements established by current Spanish educational legislation for teaching in Secondary Education and Bachillerato.
A Master's Degree in Secondary Education Teacher Training (MAES), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification.
Native or near-native proficiency in German (C2 level).
A passion for language teaching and a commitment to student-centred learning.
Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
The ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students and families.
Previous experience teaching German in Secondary Education and/or Bachillerato will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
Teach German to students in Secondary Education and Bachillerato.
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that promote language acquisition and cultural understanding.
Adapt teaching strategies and learning activities to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Monitor, assess and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Contribute to the development of the German language curriculum and department initiatives.
Participate actively in school meetings, events and professional development opportunities.
Maintain positive communication with students and families.
