Sign Language Interpreter and Educational Mediator in Marratxí

Are you passionate about making education accessible and fostering inclusion for students with hearing impairments? A socio-educational communication support service is currently seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter and Mediator in Marratxí, Mallorca. In this role, you will play a crucial part in bridging communication gaps, supporting students with hearing sensory impairments in the classroom, and ensuring they thrive in their school environment.
Your main responsibilities will focus on educational mediation and sign language interpretation throughout the school day:
Accompanying students with hearing sensory impairment (DSA) during classroom activities and school routines.
Providing real-time sign language interpretation and translation for instructional content.
Facilitating smooth communication and active social interaction between students, classmates, and teachers.
Supporting the overall adaptation and integration of the student within the school community.
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
Higher Vocational Training Degree (Cicle Formatiu de Formació Professional de Grau Superior) in a relevant field.
Certified proficiency in Catalan at level B2.
An official Certificate of Absence of Sexual Offences (Certificado de Delitos de Naturaleza Sexual).
Strong communication skills, empathy, and professional commitment to inclusive education.
What is offered for this role:
A part-time schedule working mornings from Monday to Friday.
A discontinuous fixed contract (fix discontinu) with an initial duration of 9 months, with the possibility of extension.
A gross annual salary of 7,977.20 EUR, distributed across 12 monthly payments.
Planned start date on September 25, 2026.
