The Ames, Iowa office of Dentons Davis Brown is seeking an experienced associate attorney with excellent academic credentials to join our growing Real Estate practice. The person hired for this position will:

• Assist clients with a variety of residential, commercial, and agricultural real estate transactions.
• Prepare and review purchase agreements, deeds, conveyance documents, closing documents, and other real estate-related agreements.
• Review abstracts and prepare title opinions and other title-related documentation.
• Assist with real estate closings and address title and transactional issues that arise throughout the process.
• Counsel clients regarding real estate acquisitions, sales, ownership, and related matters.
• Work with lenders, title professionals, real estate professionals, and other parties involved in transactions.
• Assist with related transactional matters, which may include business formation, estate planning, and probate matters.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide practical, client-focused legal advice.
• Independently manage assigned matters while collaborating with shareholders and other attorneys.

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Iowa bar license.
• 1+ years of legal experience preferred
• Experience with real estate transactions, closings, title work, or related matters preferred.

• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively as part of a team.

• Should be licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa and be in good standing
